Local charity LOROS invites everyone in businesses, schools and community groups throughout the county to dress festively on a day in December to raise much needed funds in a new fun way by taking part in a charity Santa Day.
Christmas has come early for LOROS after it received a bumper crop of toys following a special donation drive on ITV’s Daybreak for national hospice charity Help the Hospices.
Ragdale Hall raised a wonderful £370 for LOROS from its Country Club Evening on 14th November 2013.
LOROS hospice is organising a fund-raising Santa Day campaign which will run throughout December on a date and time chosen by people at work or school.
Staff also held a prize draw to support LOROS Hospice and raised £1,750, which included match funding from Barclays.
The day, which included advice on a healthy diet and the importance of exercise, raised more than £500 for health charities LOROS and the Community Heartbeat Trust
Workers at Leicester Market's food hall donated £170 of vouchers in support of Hospice Care Week and LOROS Hospice.
Ann Mason held a Fish and Chip Supper and Quiz Night in memory of Brenda Groves and raised a fantastic £1,355 for LOROS.
