Supporting family carers

LOROS Centre for Excellence education and research teams, with support from The Carers Centre, developed, delivered and evaluated learning sessions for family carers. A brief overview of the project can be seen here.

We are now working with family carers and carer support organisations to consider how best to make this learning available to others. To get involved or for further details please contact Linda Birt or research@loros.co.uk.

We asked 100 bereaved relatives about their experiences of these injectable medicines. They said  “It’s a great idea but challenging to implement effectively.” You can see a summary of the findings here and more about our projects here.

Because of what we found we have developed a leaflet for family and people with serious illness to explain more about the medications.
