NHS online learning e-ELCA

e-ELCA stands for the End of Life Care for All e-learning programme and has been developed to enable those working in health and social care, who don’t often have time to attend classroom based training sessions, to improve the care they provide as well as develop skills to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.

TRAINING AT LOROS

The training we provide

e-ELCA covers a range of themes, from clinical topics to communication skills and spiritual care.

The programme has been recommended as part of a blended learning approach by the ‘Training and Education in End of Life Care’ report, commissioned by HEE to review the efficacy of existing education and training resources on end of life care.

Professor Christina Faull, Consultant in Palliative Medicine and Research Lead at LOROS, is the National Clinical Lead for e-ELCA and has the key role of overseeing all of the learning content relating to end of life care.

There are over 150 e-learning sessions across 8 modules:

  • Advance Care Planning
  • Assessment
  • Communications Skills
  • Symptom Management
  • Social Care
  • Bereavement
  • Spirituality
  • Integrating Learning
