Did you see the news? David completed his Skydive!
On Saturday, David took to the skies and jumped 13,000ft to celebrate 10 years of volunteering at LOROS and to celebrate his 80th birthday! David described the experience as "out of this world".
David told us: "I was so excited by the entire adventure. The landing was quite hard but when we got down it felt euphoric to have done it. It was only at the end, when I saw the videos of myself that I realised I had a really wide smile all the way through!"
"What gave me the boost was my connection to the LOROS but also seeing the money raised from supporters. I was amazed- the support has been just phenomenal. Volunteering at LOROS has helped me focus following my prostate cancer diagnosis and during my scans and radiotherapy treatment because I've met so many less fortunate than myself."
"I did wonder if I was pushing myself too much, approaching 80. But my friend reminded me that it's good for people of our age to do these things. If you still want to do something, no matter your age, you can do it!"
