Today's #ThankYouThursday goes to some of our very own LOROS team for doing something daring for the Hospice! The team held a 'Misfit Monty' night at the Nottingham Oddfellow Club in order to raise vital funds for LOROS.
It was an amazing evening for all who attended! All of the planning and hard work that went in to the event made sure it was an enjoyable, fun and successful event enjoyed by family, friends, colleagues and supporters. These community events take months of dedication and time for everyone involved. As a team, over £4600 was raised for LOROS. An incredible amount!
We spoke to some of the team involved and here is what they said about the event and experience of putting on the Misfit Monty:
"Doing the Misfit Monty gave me an insight into what it takes to fund an event. Although as a part of the cast we may have left our hats on, but hats off to the Fundraising team! How the Fundraising team manage events like these on a day-to-day basis is beyond my comprehension."
"I was just so amazed with the massive turn out of people and the screams and shouts definitely got us all through it. I take my hat off (literally!!) to everyone that bought a ticket and to everyone that helped arrange it all. It was a fantastic night and I am so glad we raised some much needed funds for LOROS."
