I am delighted to let you know that Colin Phillips has accepted an offer to become our next Director of Finance and Resources.
A fellow chartered accountant and former partner at McIntyre Hudson, Colin is an experienced Chief Financial Officer with substantial commercial experience, accustomed to hitting the ground running and developing organisations. He also has an awareness of charity finances as the former treasurer of The Ulverscroft Foundation; a charitable foundation linked to Ulverscroft Group, which provides grants to organisations supporting partially sighted people.
Throughout the interview process Colin came across as very warm and with a great values fit for LOROS – he and his son have done some fundraising for us over the last 7 years – and he is really delighted to have been offered the job. Colin is able to start work at the beginning of July, meaning that he’ll benefit from a 3-week handover before Emma leaves us later that month to take up her new role at Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust.
