When a team of engineers from British Gas offered their services to LOROS, we had no hesitation in setting them to work on our courtyard water feature. The team gathered from across the country, travelling from Brighton, Glastonbury, Cardiff, Doncaster, Stoke-on-Trent, as well as Leicester, to help us get the water feature working and make this area a more enjoyable space for staff and patients alike.
Georgina Sanders, Support Engagement Co-ordinator commented: “The courtyard is such a lovely space, enjoyed by patients and their families, along with our staff – to see the water feature working, the garden furniture freshly painted and to receive some new rattan seating from the British Gas team, has made such a difference. Their hard work is greatly appreciated and I am sure that everyone at LOROS will be delighted with the results. We also have a family of ducks who visit the courtyard every year, and so this will be a nice surprise for them when they return!”
Sophie Johnson and Matthew Tonks, from British Gas, were delighted with the results, and with how their teams responded when the call to action went out. Matthew said: “Our guys just wanted to help and they are really happy to help make a difference”, with Sophie adding: “We will be back! We have more teams who want to get involved and support LOROS, it is such a lovely place.”
It is wonderful to have the support of such a positive and proactive team, and it will be fantastic to see what a difference the British Gas teams can make when they next offer their services to LOROS.
Huge thanks to everyone at British Gas – we really cannot thank you enough for your incredible support.
