Due to the success and expansion of NEBOSH, the Leicester-based global organisation providing health, safety and environmental qualifications, the company found itself bursting at the seams for business accommodation to house its growing number of staff in Dominus Way, Meridian Business Park.
Business neighbours Lawson-West Solicitors came to the rescue for their commercial client, offering free use of their meeting and conference room facilities for a number of weeks, whilst NEBOSH negotiated a new lease for additional premises opposite their existing building location in Dominus Way that they could expand into.
David Heys, Managing Director and Commercial Solicitor at Lawson-West Solicitors, said: "We were only too pleased to help NEBOSH during their expansion transition and genuinely weren’t expecting anything in return. Their kind donation to LOROS demonstrates how the business community rallies around to support good community projects like LOROS. I’m delighted that it worked out well for them. Thank you to CEO Ian Taylor and the team at NEBOSH.”
Ian Taylor, CEO NEBOSH, added: “I’ve recently joined NEBOSH on the Board and it’s at a time of great excitement for us as we continue to expand our UK operation, helping companies to preserve and improve health, safety, well-being and the environment in workplaces worldwide. Our new Dominus Way building has been fitted out and is now fully occupied.”
Caroline Baker, Director of Income Generation and Business Development at LOROS, said: “I’m thrilled that Lawson-West nominated our charity to receive the funds. LOROS cares for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and we provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers - so all business and community donations are really important and highly valued. Thank you NEBOSH for your kind generosity.”
