LOROS Hospice, Cransley Hospice and Rainbows Hospice have each received a share of a donation totaling over £13,000, reflecting the wishes of savers with Market Harborough Building Society.
Mark Robinson, Chief Executive of the Society was delighted to hand over the cheques raised from its Easy Access Charity Savings Accounts.
Savers with the Market Harborough Building Society invest in these accounts knowing this will benefit one of the local charities. Each year the Society donates 0.5% of the average balance giving a regular boost to these charities.
Over £500 was also generated by the Society’s AGM voting scheme where members can nominate one of the charities to receive a 25p donation when they cast their vote. The Market Harborough Building Society’s 148th Annual General Meeting (AGM), was held in April 2018.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Partnership Development Lead at LOROS said: “We are very grateful to Market Harborough Building Society staff and members for their continued support. This year’s donation could pay for 353 hours of care for one of our inpatients; which is fantastic! Our new Day Therapy Centre will be open in a few months’ time and we look forward to showing the facilities to our supporters from the Society.”
