On Friday 29th June Barclays Bank organised a very successful Indian Summer four-course lunch for their business partners.
Nearly 90 people attended and enjoyed the fantastic opportunity to network and enjoy a wonderful meal at the award-winning Paddy’s Marten Inn whilst raising funds for their local Hospice.
The fundraising part of the event was very successful with £3,451 raised through tickets sale, a raffle and an auction. This is very generously being increased to more than £6,000 through the Barclays Match Giving scheme.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Partnership Development Lead at LOROS, said: "There is a long list of amazing people we would like to thank for making this event happen. Jay and Amit from Barclays Bank, who worked extremely hard in putting their ideas into action and inviting their guests. With their commitment, the event was sold out in just two weeks!
"Jay used his network to secure some amazing raffle prizes and our sincere thanks go to Leicester City Football Club, Tailored Frames DGL Group Ltd and Intelligent Financial Advisory; their generous contribution towards the raffle and auction secured crucial funds for LOROS.
"The team at Paddy’s Marten Inn looked after the guests so well and created a very welcoming atmosphere; it was heart-warming to see all their staff members joining our raffle!
"Not only was this event great fundraiser, it was also an extremely enjoyable evening - smiley faces everywhere and lots of networking too.
"Support for LOROS was overwhelming and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who supported this amazing event - our local businesses are amazing and make a huge difference to the care we provide.
