55 Teams, 210 Runners, 25 Volunteers and an amazing £12,700!
A massive thank you to everyone who took part in the Cummins Relay race at the Leicester Marathon on Sunday and raised much-needed funds for the Hospice.
This is the fifth year of our partnership with Cummins Solicitors and their very generous support in organising their Marathon Relay. It's also the second year of organising both the half and full marathon relays which gives the teams more opportunities to take on the challenge.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Partnership Development Lead at LOROS said: "The £12,700 that Cummins has raised this year has pushed their grand total well over the £50k mark and I am delighted that they will be repeating this once again in 2018!
"It's always a privilege for me to work with Mike, Julie and Carmel and wonderful to be part of the amazing atmosphere created by the relay teams. Their 'can do' attitude so early in the morning is also a delight and an inspiration to see.
"Our special thanks to Cummins Solicitors for their generosity and to all the volunteers (the majority of which are Cummins Solicitor's staff and their friends and family members) for working so hard to make the Relay happen and for their continued support to LOROS. It means the world to us."
