Huge congratulations to everyone from Tokio Marine HCC who took part in the TMHCC 10,000 challenge to raise funds for their chosen charities. They proudly back four nationally chosen charities and we are honoured to be selected as one of them.
Tokio Marine, Leicester have been partnering with LOROS Hospice since August last year. We have been delighted to see them working so hard to raise funds for our patients and their family members; the recent challenge they were involved in was just incredible!
On Tuesday 26th September, in conjunction with the Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day, they got on their bikes to cycle the distance from London to Tokyo.
The number participating from the Leicester office was astonishing; the support and motivation they offered each other were brilliant and everyone smashed their own target.
The challenge was completed at the Race Hub, Six Hills and special thanks must go to the support crew on site –Wayne, Rachel and Sian. It wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without them!
Here are the team stats from the day (note: the teams weren’t all the same size!)
Bonds Admin:419.1km, CRD:394.8, Risk:330.5km Dan’s Dream Team:232.1km, Management:178.2km, Sales:175.7km, Surety UW: 158.2km, Finance:149.2km, Other:110.0km, Claims:83.8km, IPD:64.8km, HR:41.4km
The grand total was a massive 2337.7km and contributed greatly to the London to Tokyo distance which was reached by joining forces with other sites.
Magda Korytkowska, Partnership Development Lead at LOROS said: "I am thrilled and delighted with what the Tokio Marine Leicester team have achieved and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for the part they played in making this challenge such a great success.
"It was wonderful to join them on the day and see first-hand their dedication and commitment. They all have been marvellous – as always.
"Very well done and many thanks once again for everything you are doing for LOROS!"
