Market Harborough Building Society is delighted to present LOROS Hospice with a cheque totalling over £9,000, raised from donations made by the Society in relation to the Easy Access LOROS savings account and the Society’s AGM voting scheme.
Harry Johnson, Community Branch Manager of the Market Harborough Building Society, said “The compassionate care and support LOROS provides to terminally ill patients, their families and carers makes a big difference. The funds they raise each year help them to provide such high-quality care; we are very proud to support LOROS.”
Magdalena Korytkowska, Partnership Development Lead at LOROS said: "Market Harborough Building Society and their members have been supporting the Hospice for several years through their affinity accounts scheme as well as number of events. This wonderful partnership makes such a difference to our patients and their family members. The amount donated recently is equivalent to the cost of one of our nurses looking after our inpatients for nearly 13 weeks. It is an amazing contribution towards the care we provide, for which we are very grateful."
LOROS has put its name to an Easy Access savings account with the Society, allowing customers to save and help the local charity. Each year the Society donates 0.5% of the average balances held in each account to the hospice, making a huge difference.
In addition, as part of the Society’s AGM voting scheme, 25p was donated for every vote made by its members from a choice of three charities including LOROS.
