Huge shout out for brave Claire, one of 24 staff members at the Co-op Food store in Glen Parva, who has had her head shaved to raise funds for LOROS.
The staff were given permission by their headquarters to raise funds for the hospice in memory of a colleague who sadly died quite recently.
Claire, who has previously suffered from cancer and had chemotherapy treatment herself, made the brave decision to have her hair shaved off as part of their campaign and raised a staggering £2674.18. The money raised could pay for the cost of one of our specialist nurses for almost a month - we are so proud of her and her colleagues!
This is the second of four planned events organised by the staff. Back in May they organised a garden tombola, on the 8th July they are doing a 12 hour sponsored walk around the park opposite the store and in August they are planning to hold a fun day.
