On Shrove Tuesday, teams of four from Cambridge & Counties Bank (two teams), Corn Exchange, Food Hall, Hastings Direct, ITV Central News, LOROS Hospice and Outdoor Traders lined up at Leicester Market to take part in a pancake relay race and raise funds for the Hospice.
As well as running a relay as quickly as possible the participants had to toss their pancakes twice in the marked out 'flip zone'.
The winning team from Outdoor Traders received a £100 to donate to LOROS, a team prize and a winner's cup.
As well as watching some very entertaining races, members of the public were also able to sample pancakes with fresh lemon or orange in return for a donation to LOROS.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraiser at LOROS said: “I believe that our corporate teams had a good time at the Market whilst competing for the £100 donation to the Hospice. Everyone seemed to enjoy the race despite the rain and cold.
“Thank you to all the teams who participated and Leicester Market and the Traders Association for organising and hosting such a great event.”
