LOROS Hospice is delighted to announce that its family fun day, the Big Day Out, is back on Sunday 4th September, 10am-4pm.
After an absence of two years due to COVID, the charity is inviting supporters, volunteers and friends to join in the fun. With a range of food and craft stalls, games and activities, there’s something for everybody to enjoy.
Lisa Wilson, Fundraising Coordinator at LOROS Hospice, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone back! The LOROS Big Day Out is a chance to support your local hospice, find out more about our care for patients and their families, but also have a really fun day out for all the family. It’s also free entry so we hope that encourages even more people to come along.”
LOROS’ beautiful Hospice grounds will host outdoor games, bouncy castles and go-karting experiences while children can ride on a mini fire engine and come face-to-face with adorable fluffy alpacas.
With face painting, welly-wanging, hook a duck, penalty shootout and much more, there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained. There’s food stalls to tempt your appetite too, with crepes, samosas, fish and chips and of course, an ice cream van!
There's no need to book, just join us on the day!
Please note, there is no parking available onsite at the Hospice. For those requiring car parking, we have arranged the use of the car park next to Gilroes cemetery, post code LE3 9QG, just a short 5-minute walk from the Hospice.
