Disco divas and glam rockers wanting to participate in LOROS Hospice’s Twilight Walk are snapping up places, quick to take advantage of the bargain early bird rate which ends on Monday 3rd February.
The annual event, which was a sell-out last year, is themed as Through the Decades, in celebration of the Walk’s 10th anniversary.
The Twilight Walk, LOROS’ biggest event, will see thousands of women and for the first time, men too, don their fancy dress on Saturday 18th April and pound the pavements on a 10km walk in support of the charity.
Tickets for this fun-tastic event are priced at just £10 per person until Monday 3rd February so LOROS is urging party goers to scoop up their tickets fast to make the most of this bargain rate.
LOROS fundraising coordinator Lisa Wilson said: “At just £10 each you can take your whole squad to the Twilight Walk party!”
“It’s always such a fun, feel-good event and if you book now you’ll be supporting LOROS at little cost to you. By raising even just a small sum of money you’ll be making a huge difference!”
Twilight Walk 2019 saw more than 2,000 walkers raise more than £140,000 for LOROS.
Kyra Smith was one of the thousands who participated last year. She said: “The atmosphere was amazing! It was so friendly and happy and, as we were all walking for someone, really joyful and celebratory. I can’t wait to do it again this year!”
Donning a fun costume has become an essential part of the Twilight Walk. Last year’s Under the Sea theme saw people dress as mermaids, jelly fish – even a yellow submarine to walk the 10km route.
Lisa adds, “Our Through the Decades theme is great as our walkers have the chance to pick their favourite era this year so if you loved the1940s jitterbug, enjoyed the swinging sixties, or you want to party like it’s 1999 then come and show your support by walking with us on 18th April.”
