A milestone year for Leicester’s Pick Everard has seen it raise more than £1,500 for a charity close to its heart.
The independent management, design and construction consultancy in Charles Street has been raising funds for LOROS throughout 2016 with ping pong tournaments, cake sales, crazy golf and even a Scalextric Rally.
Duncan Green, managing partner at Pick Everard, said: “2016 marks our 150th year as a business and one way in which we wanted to mark the milestone was by raising funds for LOROS. It is a brilliant charity which has touched so many lives here at Pick Everard.
“Our employees were keen to give something back and as a result we have raised a fantastic £1,572.52. I would like to thank all our employees, friends and family for the support across the year. It has been truly memorable!”
Pick Everard was first established by civil engineer and architect John Breedon Everard in 1866 at 6, Millstone Lane in Leicester. Samuel Perkins Pick later expanded the practice’s architectural capacity, with the company growing sustainably over the past 150 years to become one of the UK’s top 30 multi-professional consultancies.
The firm will be donating the funds to LOROS on Friday 16 December.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: “We would like to congratulate Pick Everard on their 150th Anniversary and we are very grateful that we have had this wonderful opportunity to celebrate with them.
“The support which we have received makes a real difference to the care we provide. The fantastic amount they raised is equivalent to the cost of our complementary therapy sessions for 60 of our patients or their family members.
“We also would like to thank all of employees who donated the gift of their time by volunteering for us; it’s very much appreciated.”
