Balfour Beatty have been supporting LOROS during their construction of the new De Montfort University building at Mill Lane and their latest donation of £225 takes their total cash donations to £570.

But that's far from the end of the story... as well as their fundraising they have hosted a LOROS donation station on the site which has been extremely successful. The total estimated value of the goods collected from the station to date is almost £2,000 and means their total has exceeded £2,500.

Elaine Godber, Corporate & Community Relations Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "Tracy Hope has been a delight to work with and a great ambassador for LOROS.

"She has encouraged her colleagues to donate pre-loved clothes and other items via the LOROS Donation Station and has also been supporting us by selling scratch cards, novelties, Christmas cards and hosting fundraising days with the most delicious cakes whilst offering the opportunity for Balfour Beatty colleagues to sign up for our LOROS lottery.

"Tracy has really taken LOROS into her heart and I thank her and everyone at Balfour Beatty for their wonderful support and wish them all the best for the future now that their very impressive new building at DMU is completed."

Tracy added: "The donation stations are so easy to use - they don't impinge on the daily routine of our staff, but allow them to donate simply by dropping off their unwanted goods on the way in to work. It's a very easy way for them to make a significant donation to the charity."
