Leicester Riders dunking hunk becomes latest star to strip down to his undies for LOROS campaign

Leicester Riders player Tyler Bernardini has kept to his promise and posed in his pants for LOROS Hospice.

The California-born, Italian-American sports star that plays as a guard for British Basketball League-winners, Leicester Riders, stripped off to his undies after helping to raise £500 for the Undie-dogs Campaign.

Inspired by Gary Lineker’s recent Match of the Day pant promise, the campaign asked local celebrities and individuals to strip down to their underwear once certain fundraising targets had been met.

Speaking about the campaign, the 28-year-old said: “Anytime I have the chance to increase awareness and especially funding for a good cause, I am all for it.”

The sportsman, who reaches the height of six foot, six inches, said he took little convincing to get involved when the Hospice approached the team.

“LOROS Hospice provides an incredible service to the people of Leicestershire and I want to thank everyone who wanted to help LOROS and embarrass me” he added.

Other ‘Leicester Legends’ signed up for the campaign include ‘Boxing Binman’ Rendall Monroe, former Leicester City defender Matt Elliott, Leicester Tigers star George Chuter and England cricketer Paul Nixon.

With the campaign running until the end of August, there is still time to sponsor your favourite local celebrities and see them, just like Tyler, pose in their pants.

LOROS fundraiser Dave Nicklin said: “This whole thing started thanks to our very own Leicester City underdogs becoming champions, so it’s great to have Tyler, another sporting champion on board.

“With the campaign coming to a close at the end of the month, it would be great to meet more of our celebrities' targets.

“Next up at £1,000 is Rendall Monroe, hopefully we’ll get to see a boxer in his boxers very soon.”

To see more “Leicester Legends” strip down to their smalls, donate to the campaign by texting ‘PANT10’ plus your amount to 70070 (e.g. ‘PANT10 £10’), or donate online by visiting loros.co.uk/undiedogs.
