Colleagues from Smile Essential Dental Practice in Leicester have recently completed an awesome Adrenaline Adventure in Wales to raise money for LOROS, a charity very close to their hearts.
Lina Kotecha, Gemma Starkey and Karen Mangham began their challenge by zipping down the world's longest zip wire in the northern hemisphere before heading off to Snowdon where two of their patients guided them up to the top of the highest mountain in Wales.
Lina said: "Zipping down that wire was pretty scary, but by far the biggest challenge was climbing 1,085m to the top of Snowdon. We took the more challenging miners' route and 32,000 steps later we reached the summit!
"We were overwhelmed with emotion and exhaustion but after a very welcome hot chocolate in the mountain-top café we started our descent. Four hours later we were back in our warm hotel having experienced the best 48 hours of our lives!
"We are thrilled to have broken through our £3,000 target and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us - we are truly humbled by everyone's generosity."
The team are visiting LOROS soon to present their cheque and take a tour of the Hospice, which will give them an insight into the work of LOROS and how their donation can help make a difference. We look forward to thanking them personally for their hard work and very generous donation.
