A recent charity night saw a great many people turn up to enjoy the Take@That tribute band at the Working Mens' Club in Braunstone.

Organised by Diane Murphy and Norma Ascott, the evening was a resounding success and raised more than £5,000 for the Hospice.

Diane said: "The band was amazing, everyone was up off their feet, singing and dancing along with them, it was such a good atmosphere and the amount we raised for LOROS was just fantastic! Alt text

"Norma and I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that helped make the evening such a fabulous success, our sponsors and all those who donated so generously to the raffle, our DJ, Jivin John, Braunstone Club, Dean Barrett and his fabulous band, Debbie Dickman, our LOROS fundraiser and Rod Fitzpatrick for all the great photographs."

Debbie Dickman, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS added: "A huge thank you from everyone here at LOROS.

"It is always a pleasure to work with Diane and Norma and I'm so pleased that their fundraising event was so well attended and such a success.

"The £5,000 raised from this event could pay for the cost of one of our specialist nurses for seven whole weeks which is an amazing achievement."

The dynamic duo with the help of their friends are already planning their next event - a Halloween Night Party with food, at the same venue on Friday 28 October for just £15 per person - a date for your diaries!
