Barclays volunteers were out and about at LOROS once again last week. This time they were sprucing up the area outside Day Therapy in order to make it more user friendly for our patients.

Our patients love gardening and are keen to plant lots of flowers, herbs and seeds. The Barclays volunteers very kindly developed the area the patients are currently using.

Alt textMagda Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "This is the third year that the Barclays volunteers have returned to LOROS to work on a project for us. The team have been amazing, very hard working and definitely unafraid of getting their hands dirty!

"We would like to thank them all for their continued support and commitment to the Hospice, their work will most certainly be appreciated by everyone who uses the LOROS gardens."

Jaimal Patel, a leader of the project and Barclays Business Manager said: Alt text“We were really tired at the end of the day but we had a great time at LOROS. It is wonderful to know that we are making a difference to patients using the LOROS Day Therapy service. It is always very rewarding to be involved in a project for the Hospice.”
