More than £150 has been raised at this year's The Chairman of Leicestershire's County Concert for LOROS.
The event, which took place at De Montfort Hall on Tuesday 8th March was jam-packed full of musical entertainment, featuring the LSMS wind orchestra, steel pan ensembles, percussion ensembles, whole class school ensembles and a massed choir.
The £335.34 raised from a bucket collection at the end of the concert, was split equally between the Chairman's two chosen charities, LOROS and The Leicester Children's Holiday Centre, Mablethorpe.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "The £167.67 donated to the Hospice from this collection is equivalent to the cost of one day's meals for 33 of our patients.
"We’re extremely grateful to the Chairman, Councillor David Snartt, for selecting LOROS as one of his chosen charities.
"I would also like to thank our three wonderful volunteer collectors, Ruth and John Wilde and Greg Korytkowski for shaking the LOROS buckets so invitingly at the end of the evening."
