On Saturday 15th August a charity tea party was held at Hough Hill, Swannington.
The "key players" were Lorna Thomas, aged 9 and her two elder brothers George and James, Caroline Turakhia who came up with the idea and baked a significant amount of cakes and Sonia Williams, chief tea-maker on the day.
Stephen Brooker said: "Lorna nominated LOROS for this charity event because they had so gently looked after her Mummy, Alison Thomas, in 2012.
"I would like to say thanks to all those friends and neighbours who turned up to raise a fabulous £215 - all of them claimed to be returning to healthy eating on Sunday!"
Debbie Dickman, Fundraising Co-ordinaor at LOROS added: "I would like to add LOROS' thanks to everyone who helped Lorna and her friends raise much needed funds for the Hospice.
"The £215 they have donated could be used to pay for 26 patient’s meals for two days or to collect 21 patients from home for day therapy at the Hospice.
"Your donation truly will make a difference"
