Ten companies have signed up so far to take part in a sponsored relay challenge at the Leicester Marathon.
The Cummins Relay Challenge, organised by Enderby firm Cummins Solicitors, has so far attracted 19 teams from firms across the East Midlands to participate in aid of county hospice LOROS.
Several firms have signed up already, including legal firm Stephen George & Partners, Cartwright King Solicitors and MB Builders.
Cummins is now calling on more companies to come forward.
The event raised more than £10,000 last year for the hospice, and the aim is to raise the same amount again this year.
Michael Cummins said: "We were really chuffed to go from 33 teams in the first year to 60 last time round. We'd love the 2015 challenge to have the same impact or even set a new record.
"The money is put to such extremely good use by LOROS. Everyone taking part gets a bit fitter and enjoys the fun of the day while supporting families in a very meaningful way."
Laura Fitzsawyer, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS, said: "The Cummins Relay raised more than £10,000 for LOROS last year, which made a huge difference to the care and support we could provide to our patients and their families.
"I would encourage anyone to enter a team as the race is great fun and you receive fantastic hospitality from the team at Cummins, too."
The challenge starts and finishes alongside the Leicester Marathon at Victoria Park.
Each of a team's four runners tackle a quarter of the half marathon route each, about three-and-a-quarter miles per person.
