More than 1,000 people donned white tee shirts and sun glasses in readiness for the start of the Colourfun Run in Hinckkley town centre.
Dashing around the course, the runners were showered in a variety of different coloured powdered dyes, turning the steets of Hinckley town centre into a myriad of colours.
Hospice spokeswoman Laura Fitzsawyer, said: “The turnout for this event was amazing and despite the dismal weather everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they raised in excess of £8,000 for LOROS.
"I think there is a definite "feel good" factor to this event and that is enhanced by the knowledge that everyone is raising much needed funds as they enjoy themselves.
"The money raised this year, could could pay for the cost of one of our specialist nurses for almost 12 weeks so, on behalf of LOROS, I’d like to thank everyone who participated - your donations really do matter to us!
