Syston and District Skittle League have raised a record amount for LOROS Hospice.
The league, which is made up of more than 25 teams, has donated £2,400 to the local charity after collecting cash throughout the season.
A presentation evening took place on Friday at Syston and District Conservative Club, which Fundraising Manager Diane Morris attended.
Diane said: “I am once again delighted that the Syston and District Skittle League have thought of LOROS. The money the league has raised could cover the cost of three specialist nurses a week – which is absolutely fantastic.”
A player from Horse Shoes B, the team who raised the highest amount in the league, presented Diane with a cheque during the evening.
“LOROS have been the league’s chosen charity for the past seven years now and everyone at the Hospice is extremely grateful for their continued support,” added Diane.
