Blusource, specialists in Legal, Accountancy, Finance and HR recruitment, recently held their inaugural Blusource Inter-firm Football Competition in Leicester. Entry to the competition was free, with all teams being asked to make a donation to Blusource’s annual charity for 2015.

Andrew Springhall CEO of Blusource said, “Having had first-hand experience of a good friend, who spent his final days at LOROS in Leicester, I felt compelled to support LOROS in the future. The Blusource Team also supported this decision fully and we have decided to make LOROS our charity for 2015.

"I am very pleased to present LOROS with the £1,000 raised from our Blusource Inter-firm Football competition. We are very grateful to everyone who took part and their generosity, and are glad the event was such a success! We will definitely be running the event again next year.”

The firms taking part were Shakespeares, BDO, Newby Castleman, Mark J Rees, Grant Thornton, Page Kirk, Clear and Lane, MGCHayles, Howes Percival, Mazars, Imperial Events, Dimensions, Mayfield & Co., KPMG, Rowleys and Integra. After a closely fought knock our competition the final was won by combined team MGCHayles and Mark J Rees.

Laura Betts, Fundraiser and Partnership Development Executive at LOROS said: "We would like to add our thanks to all the teams who took part in this competition and gave so generously in support of our Hospice.

"I would also like to add our thanks to Blusource for choosing us as their charity for 2015 - we are looking forward to working with them throughout the year. The money they raise will help LOROS to provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.

"As an example, the £1,000 that was raised from their football tournament could be used to pay for the collection of 10 patients from home for day therapy, 25 patient’s meals for a day,a Community Nurse Specialists visit to three patients in their own home and still leave enough to pay for 20 hours of care for one of our inpatients.

"Your donations really do make a difference!"
