Freedom Care, one of LOROS’ corporate supporters, was nominated for the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards 2014 and won £500 which has been donated to LOROS.
The Healthcare Design Awards were first staged as a national competition during the mid-nineties. Pinders took up the sponsorship and organisation of the Awards in 1999 and under their supervision the presentation ceremony has grown to become one of the 'must-go' diary dates in the healthcare calendar.
The Awards aim to promote and recognise top developments in all types of care-related property and also recognise the important contribution made by the owners of all types of care home - irrespective of size or category of care.
Joe Kinch, Director of Care at Freedom Care said: “We are very happy with what we have achieved so far but we have so many plans for the future that there is no time to rest. We would like to thank the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards 2014 Jury for this recognition; it’s a big privilege for us. Donating the money which we won to LOROS, our chosen Charity of the Year, makes our achievement even more significant for the local community, which makes us even happier.”
Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-Ordinator at LOROS said: “I would like to congratulate Freedom Care on their achievement. In one year they have created from scratch an amazing, very welcoming place for those with learning difficulties and mental health care needs. I was very impressed by their premises. I would like to say a massive thank you to the Freedom Care team for celebrating their success with LOROS and for their very kind donation.”
