Jazz raises £1,800 to fight prostate cancer and support LOROS Hospice

A music event involving several jazz bands helped raise vital funds to fight prostate cancer and support LOROS Hospice.

The PROSTaid Annual Jazz Bash raised £1,800 from the 10 hour event which took place at the Musician, in Clyde Street in Leicester.

One of the musicians and organiser Stuart Battle said: “There were eight bands playing mainly traditional and New Orleans jazz. There was some modern jazz as well.

He said more than 150 people visited event which was held on Sunday, January 25.

He added: “We raised £1,800 which will be divided between Prostaid and LOROS.”

He said it was the eleventh jazz bash which have raised a total of well over £11,000 since they began.
