Who would have thought that the local community would raise so much in two hours!

Mr Adrian Freeman and his wife Tanya wanted to raise funds for LOROS in memory of Adrian's late brother Kevin Fletcher who spent a short time in LOROS before his death in September 2013.

Rachel Whitby, a spokesperson for the event organisers said "Adrian and Tanya worked Alt texttirelessly over a space of a couple of weeks organising the event and collecting prize donations; we would like to thank Carole Overton (Iceland), Michelle Leaper, and Agar Nook Centre for donating some really fantastic prizes for us.
"On the night the whole family came together to make it possibly to raise as much money as we possibly could for such a great cause. We were so overwhelmed with the selling of the tickets, that at one point, we had to run out and get another raffle ticket book! We were delighted when we totalled up the cash to find that we had raised an amazing £586.17. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us."

The residents of the estate enjoyed the bingo so much that we are now planning a Christmas Fair at Agar Nook on 22nd November, to raise even more more funds for LOROS.

Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS added: "I would like to say a big thank you to Adrian, Tanya and their family. LOROS are proud to offer free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers and we couldn't do this without the staunch support of our local community. Events such as these are immensely important to us - Thank you to everyone who gave their time to help and support them.
