On Saturday 20th September LOROS visited the Harvest Festival & Family Fun Day at Roots, Thorpe Farm, Barkby Thorpe.
This amazing day, organised in aid of LOROS, included a welly decorating competition, games to play, farm machinery, live demos, animal petting, milk a cow competition, BBQ, pony rides and much more.
The event raised over £1000 - a fantastic total that could pay for a Community Nurse Specialist visiting ten of our patients in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Alex Gamble, Partnership Development Executive at LOROS said: “Lots of people turned out and the rain held off for everyone to have fun. Thanks to all the Mount family for hosting this great event; their effort is very much appreciated. Fundraising events like this one help us to raise the £4.5 million needed annually to provide our services free of charge to the local community.”
If you plan an event and would like to host this in aid of LOROS please do not hesitate to contact the LOROS Fundraising Department on 01162318431/2 or fundraising@loros.co.uk
