Charlotte's uncle was admitted to LOROS in June this year and sadly passed away on 1st July.
To honour his memory, and to thank LOROS for the amazing and compassionate care he received, Charlotte decided that she really wanted to do something to raise funds for LOROS.
She signed up to do a 10k run in Warwickshire which took place on Sunday 28th September, and a number of her friends decided to support her by running too - how fantastic are they?
The team, comprising of Charlotte, Kirstine, Charna, Tom, Jade, Nadine, Jess & Tina, all completed the run and are now recovering. They admit to having very tired legs, but we are sure the news that they have collected a total of £450 will raise their spirits and help to ease their aching limbs!
Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS said: "If it wasn’t for supporters like Charlotte and her friends, the Hospice couldn't exist. So thank you for helping us to raise the funds that we need to continue helping our patients and their families"
If you are a runner and if you fancy a challenge please run for LOROS in this year’s Leicester Marathon. For more details please click here
