Businesses are invited to run for fun – and charity – in the Leicester Marathon.
Teams of four from firms of all sizes are limbering up for The Cummins Relay Challenge, which last year raised £5,000 for LOROS hospice, in Leicester.
This year, the organisers at employment law practice Cummins Solicitors, in Enderby, hope to raise double that.
Every penny of a £100-per-team entry fee and each team's sponsorship will go directly to LOROS. Michael Cummins, of Cummins, said: "Last year was a huge success, with 33 teams.
"We want the 2014 challenge to have even more impact by having more teams take part.
"The more there are, the more fun everyone will have and, vitally for LOROS and the people and families it supports, the more money will be raised.
"There is healthy competition among the teams but if we together raise £10,000 for LOROS then everyone will be a winner.
"For business people who spend too many hours each day sat at a desk, the fitness from training will be a real bonus."
Leicester Marathon takes place on Sunday, October 26.
Each of a team's four runners tackle a quarter of the half-marathon route.
