Earlier in the year, Caroline Clamp decided to do a sponsored skydive for LOROS in memory of her father, Kenneth Shorthouse, who passed away in November 2010.
In the short time he was under the care of LOROS, the doctors, nurses and all other members of the team were exceptionally caring and thoughtful, not only to him, but to the whole family.
So, to say thank you, she took part in the LOROS One Big Skydive and set off on Sunday July 20th 2014 to Langar Airfield, accompanied by her own supportive family members.
After a short briefing, she was kitted out before heading off to the aircraft with her tandem skydive instructor, Dave Morris.
Caroline said, "The skydive itself was an amazing, exhilarating experience, and one that I will treasure and remember for the rest of my life! "I am overwhelmed by the number of people who wished me well and sponsored me. However, quite a few probably thought I was crazy as well!
"Crazy or not, it is something that I would gladly do again, and I am proud to say that the amount raised for LOROS has totalled £1500.
"I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Langar for making the day so special, and who knows - they may see me again one day soon.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to LOROS for everything they do- they are amazing!"
