The Enterprise Club at William Bradford Community College signed up to the Accumulator Challenge 2014, and are making great progress growing their £50 stake.

The Club hosted a fundraising week at the start of May. Activities included a penalty shoot-out, tug of war, post-16 fancy dress, sponge the teacher, key stage 4 non-uniform day and a quiz. All the activities were well attended and there were some good prizes on offer for the winners.

The group also delivered an assembly to all year groups to inform them of the work that LOROS do.

So far they have raised a brilliant £426.35 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the students, staff (including Ofsted) and parents who contributed to the week and are supporting the efforts of the Enterprise Club.

They have until mid-June to add to this amount and are hoping to reach their target of £500.

Magdalena Korytkowska, LOROS Partnership Development Assistant, said, "The pupils have done extremely well to raise so much from their initial stake of £50 - there are obviously some budding entrepreneurs amongst them.

I do hope their last push will enable them to reach the target they set themselves; it will give them a real sense of achievement - and justifiably so".
