Rainbow colours are set to fly across the town centre for a Leicester charity's fundraiser in June.
The LOROS Colourfun Mile is set to take place on Wednesday June 18 at 6.45pm to coincide with the annual Hinckley 5k race - which starts at 7pm.
The event, which will raise funds for the charity who care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year, is set to be a big hit with all of the family.
Christian Weikert-Picker, LOROS fundraiser, said: “The Colourfun Mile is open to all ages and is set to shower everyone in multi-coloured powder paint, smiles and laughter.
“We are planning to start on Station Road in Hinckley Town Centre, and as runners race along in their white T-shirt they will enter various colour zones where they will be showered in special powder paint!”
The paint, also known as Festival Powder and Race Paint is the safest, fully tested throwing powder on the market. Made from natural corn starch and colour dyes that are food and cosmetic grade tested to the highest FDA standard, it is biodegradable, environmentally friendly and easy to clean up.
It is the paint chosen by the largest professional organiser of the colour runs in the UK.
Christian added: “With music, dancing and massive colour blasts along the mile, this is set to be the brightest party Leicestershire has seen!”
