What would you choose if you had to decide between winning £10,000 cash or a luxury cruise?

This is exactly the decision that the winner of the LOROS Spring 2014 raffle will have to make following the draw on Wednesday 11th June. Imagine leaving your worries behind and sailing away on a luxury cruise or having £10,000 available to spend on anything you like.

Joining in the LOROS Spring 2014 raffle is also a great way to help raise funds for vital care services and every £1 ticket sold makes a difference. LOROS offers caring expertise to patients and families who may be spending their last days, even hours, together. Your kindness would enable us to continue providing the best quality of life during these precious times.

Phil Read and his family are a typical example of the care provided by LOROS and Phil’s family are very keen to tell of their experience at LOROS to support the raffle in memory of Phil.

It was following a conversation with Phil’s nurse, when his pain became too much to bear, that a bed was made available and his family drove him to LOROS. The volunteers on reception greeted him warmly and immediately took him to the ward. Having never visited before, Phil’s family describe their first impressions of LOROS as homely, welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately Phil’s condition deteriorated quickly but he spent 10 happy days at LOROS until he died in October 2013.

It is people like Phil and his family that you would be helping by joining in the fun, whether it’s by purchasing tickets yourself or selling them on to your family and friends. Either way, your support is much appreciated and who knows, it could be you having to make the choice between cash or cruise!

If you would like to purchase tickets or sell them to family and friends, you can contact the lottery team on (0116) 231 8430 or email lottery@loros.co.uk. Alternatively you can visit any LOROS shop but hurry, the closing date is Saturday 31st May!
