Willy Wonka himself would have been proud of the flamboyance and imagination fuelling the Edward Hands and Lewis Annual Party this year. Hosted by the local law firm at The City Rooms in Leicester, the party was attended by hundreds of guests from businesses all across the county. Entitled Ceilidh and the Chocolate Factory, the event involved staff members dressed up as characters from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory films and book with a new twist of an Irish Ceilidh for guests to dance the night away.
As part of the evening the firm hosted a raffle to raise money for their chosen charity LOROS. Guests donated prizes which ranged from limited edition Disney collectable figurines to signed Leicester Riders merchandise and tickets. As part of the Accumulator Challenge Edward Hands and Lewis used £50 given to them by LOROS for the raffle and turned it into £426.
Purple chocolate fountains, Wonka bars, every flavour pop corn, an extravagant pick and mix, and edible chocolate cups and moose were just some of the delicious sweet treats available. Jason Hathaway, Managing Director of Edward Hands and Lewis said: “Our Annual Party is always a great chance for us and our guests to network but also a fantastic opportunity for us to do something different to raise money for LOROS. We’ve had a brilliant time this evening and I’m really proud of the amount of money and awareness we have raised.”
