The second annual Glenstock was held at The Greyhound Inn pub in the village on Saturday.

As well as a packed line-up of bands from all over the county there was a host of entertainment on the day.

Children were treated to donkey rides and games and there was a raffle and a tug-of-war competition.

Entry to the event was free but visitors were encouraged to donate to LOROS, either by buying raffle tickets or by making donations to the charity.

Some of the acts that performed at the festival included: Sizzling Pink Perky and The Rhythm Rashers, Charlotte Roberts, My Kid Brother, Keira Lawson and Harborough band The Dirty Future.

Scott Clarkson organised the event for the first time last year in memory of his mum Yvonne Clarkson who died of cancer.

Mr Clarkson said: “The day was a huge success, the turnout was amazing and the feedback from people on the day was even better.

“We don’t have a complete total raised yet as there is still a bit more to come in however we know we have beaten last year’s amount which was the aim and I think we are looking at around the £2,500 to £3,000 mark which is amazing.

Mr Clarkson said that they were grateful to everyone who donated to the event, the volunteers, performers, those who ran stalls, staff at The Greyhound and all those who came on the day.

He added: “I also think the five guys who did a surprise performance of the famous routine from The Full Monty at the end deserve a special mention as well!”
