Truly A BIG DAY OUT to remember!

Crowds of over 1,500 people descended on Kelmarsh Hall at the weekend to enjoy a charity mini festival and family fun day courtesy of Next plc.

Families began arriving at the ‘Big Day Out’ event, held in the beautiful 18th century estate near Market Harborough, from 2pm. They enjoyed activities including a mini children's disco, children's entertainment, fairground rides, inflatables and dozens of arts, crafts and market stalls. Even torrential downpours didn’t deter festival goers who braved the weather to witness the evening’s grand finale; an amazing fire, water and laser spectacular.

Live music from a Queen Tribute Band, local singer-songwriter Jersey Budd and XFactors Rachel Adedeji ensured that dampened clothes did not lead to dampened spirits at this incredible family day which raised vital funds for local charities Rainbows and LOROS.

Alex Gamble, Corporate Fundraiser said “This event could not have taken place without the support of Next to whom we extend our most heartfelt thanks. It was a great success and families left saying how much fun they had. All the money we raise will be split equally between Rainbows and LOROS.”Over 40 volunteers helped in the preparation and running of the event, from baking cakes to sell in the ‘afternoon tea tent’ to manning the dedicated Pimms bar and stewarding the free on-site parking, all of which made certain that A BIG DAY OUT mini festival, was A BIG DAY OUT to remember!
