Charity fund-raisers found the recipe for success by cooking up a steady supply of pancakes yesterday.
Members of the Leicester markets team set up their stall in the city centre and got cracking with the eggs and milk, all to collect donations for Leicestershire hospice Loros.
Market development manager Joe Harkin and markets team assistant Adam Piotrowski did the cooking, while Ian Woods, from the hospice, rattled the bucket.
The team raked in £90 by selling pancakes for £1 each between midday and 2pm.
Joe said: "It was great fun.
"We wanted to mark Pancake Day and what better than to cook some up and sell them for charity.
"Everyone seemed to really enjoy the pancakes and we had lemon, oranges, sugar and maple syrup to help them slip down."
Adrian Walker, senior fundraiser at Loros, said: "It was a great effort by the team.
"We are very grateful for the team for giving us their time and for the people of Leicester in doing their bit by eating delicious pancakes for a good cause."
