LittlethorpeRocks! is a free charity music festival, set up by Dan Lambell, Sasha Barrett and Angela Barrett, to raise money for LOROS and Marie Curie Cancer Care. The event is dedicated to Barry Southwell (Dan's Grandad) & Doreen Bullock (Angela's Mother & Sasha's Grandma) who both lost their lives to cancer and are the inspiration behind the formation of LittlethorpeRocks!
It is also a platform to bring the community and surrounding areas together to listen to live music. All they ask for are donations, big and small for the charities.
This year was another huge success, with approximately 5,000 people attending the event. As well as an amazing line up of 10 LIVE bands, there was an outside bar (which donated 100% of its profit to the charities), a BBQ, a bouncy castle for the kids and face painting for anyone! Several merchandise stalls were available to the visitors and a grand raffle was drawn during the evening.
In an effort to beat last year's total Dan Lambell, Sasha Barrett, Bonita Keay, Neil Green, Charlie Garner & Jambes Clewes (pictured right at) took on the mighty Ben Nevis back in April. The conditions were very wintery, but nevertheless, THEY DID IT and raised more than £750 to add to 2014's total.
Dan, Sasha & Angela, would like to say a huge, huge thank you to all the bands that gave up their time and performed for free.

And last, but by no means least, to the mountain of volunteers that spent the day helping set up, serving on the bar, litter picking, collecting donations, de-rigging the stage till 2am, and returning on Monday morning at 7am to help tidy up Littlethorpe Park.
They raised an amazing £9833.20, which was split between LOROS, Marie Curie and Macmillan.
Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS said: "We would like to say a specially big thank you thank you to Dan, Sasha & Angela who head up the LittlethorpeRocks! team. Once again this year, they have exceeded all expectations and raised a fantastic amount of money for LOROS.
"Events like these are instrumental in helping us raise the 4.5 million pounds we need every year to provide the specialist care we give to our patients and their families. You really do make a difference!"
